WORLD MEDITATION ENSEMBLE'S WORLD SPIRITUAL MUSIC AVAILABLE FREE TO ALL

In the interest of making the WME's eclectic and inspirational music available to everyone, including those who cannot afford to make a donation that enables us to keep producing recordings, we recently honored requests from the Seattle Public Library System AND King County Library System to make both SACRED FUSION and SACRED SOJOURN available to the public.

Both CDs are now available for check-out!

See the Seattle Public Library's online www.spl.org or King County Library System's online www.kcls.org catalogue or ask your local librarian to locate one for you in the system. If you're outside the Seattle area, you can ask your local librarian to arrange an inter-library loan.

On behalf of World Meditation Ensemble, we thank you for joining us as
we commemorate ten years of excellence, celebrating the commonality
of spirit worldwide, through sacred music.

 

Surrounded by the beauty of nature and good friends, we celebrated
another year of benefiting others through imaginative and respectful
tribute to traditions of spirit and culture worldwide.

 

We danced, we sang, we performed on dozens of exotic instruments
and we were carried off to distant lands through lyrics and music.
Many have known first hand the magic of our music, but for
those who have never attended a concert, or missed us this year,
below are some of the highlights:

  March 2008   WORLD MEDITATION ENSEMBLE reaches new heights on Rhapsody international charts.

WME charts as #17 World Fusion artist, ahead of Oregon (#25) and Paul Winter Consort (#34) on Rhapsody Top 100 World Fusion Artists Charts for March 28, 2008. 

SACRED FUSION charts as #15 World Fusion Album on Rhapsody Top 100 World Fusion Albums for March 28, 2008, ahead of albums by Alex De Grassi (#16) and Strunz & Farrah (#17).

WORLD MEDITATION ENSEMBLE continues to chart internationally.

WME ends 2007 high on international charts as #3 New Age Meditation Artist, and with SACRED FUSION as #5 New Age Meditation Album on Wal-Mart Top 100 Meditation Artists and Albums for December 29, 2007. Singles Moon of India and Ancient Whispers rank at #19 and #20, respectively, on Wal-Mart Top 100 Meditation Downloads.

World Meditation Ensemble's SACRED SOJOURN premium-length recording debuts to critical acclaim. The album was selected for consideration and placed on the National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences (NARAS) ballot for Grammy Award Nomination in the Album of the Year and New Age categories.  World Meditation Ensemble was selected and placed on the NARAS ballot in those categories plus Best New Artist.

 

  August 2006  
8-6-06  KOMO-TV Seattle Channel 4 Mark Miller features the music of World Meditation Ensemble on newscast about floating lanterns for peace event on Green Lake attended by over 1100, titled "From Hiroshima to Hope" which remembered all victims of violence everywhere. The event is also referred to as "Lanterns on the Lake."
 
  July 2006   World Meditation Ensemble sequesters in the recording studio to complete the much anticipated sequel to the Sacred Fusion CD. This premium length (67 min) audiophile quality recording will feature over 300 instruments, 23 voices, and 17 interconnected musical and spiritual sojourns.
 
  June 2006   World Meditation Ensemble performed a well-received benefit concert for Interfaith Community Church in Ballard, Washington and provided them with hundreds of dollars of needed income for their wonderful interfaith, interdenominational work.
 
  May 2006   World Meditation Ensemble Performance at World Sacred Music Festival elicits "amazing depth and breadth" comments from audience.
